TUESDAYS | July 7, 14, 22 & 28 from 6–8pm
Actors, YOU are your instrument. To be an actor, you must use every part of your self and be willing to BUST out of your comfort zone. This class challenges you to explore your range and ability as an actor through a combination of improv games, camera drills, curated emotional exercises and deep imagination work.
Can you sob, cackle, scream? Shake, crawl, reach, kick? Whisper, prance, stalk, meander? Amble, fight and faint?
Can you do it believably and confidently? Can you do it in front of the lens with ease and precision if it were required for an audition or a role? Can you hit your mark for camera? Do you know the power and precision you must carry in a close-up? Are you a pro at eye-lines and prop usage on-camera?
These are foundational basics.
Remember, your instrument is not something you carry. It is you - your entire self. You must practice. And do the reps. Discipline is a must. If you want to elevate your craft, get bolder, freer and more confident and have fun while you do it, this class is for you.
